El geoide es la superficie imaginaria que tendr\u00eda un oc\u00e9ano global en reposo, guiado solo por la gravedad. Como la masa del planeta no es uniforme, el agua se amontonar\u00eda donde hay m\u00e1s atracci\u00f3n (cordilleras) y se hundir\u00eda donde hay menos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Para hacer visibles estas m\u00ednimas diferencias, la NASA exager\u00f3 la deformaci\u00f3n 10.000 veces. Para construir este modelo se combinaron mediciones de sat\u00e9lites como GRACE y GOCE.
