Se investigan otros focos y se advierte que la cifra real ser\u00eda mayor, pues muchos casos leves no buscan atenci\u00f3n ni se hacen pruebas. Cyclospora cayetanensis es un par\u00e1sito que infecta el intestino delgado y se adquiere al ingerir agua o alimentos contaminados, sobre todo frutas y verduras. No se transmite de persona a persona, ya que necesita de una a dos semanas en el ambiente para volverse infeccioso tras ser excretado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Los s\u00edntomas incluyen diarrea acuosa profusa, p\u00e9rdida de apetito y peso, dolor abdominal, hinchaz\u00f3n, gases, n\u00e1useas y fatiga prolongada.
