La reforma incorpora al C\u00f3digo Org\u00e1nico Integral Penal (COIP) sanciones escalonadas: de uno a tres a\u00f1os por uso no autorizado; hasta cinco a\u00f1os si se simulan controles u operativos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La pena m\u00e1xima (siete a\u00f1os) aplica cuando se empleen uniformes o distintivos oficiales para estos fines. Tambi\u00e9n se castiga la fabricaci\u00f3n, distribuci\u00f3n y venta ilegal de estas prendas. Las empresas de seguridad privada deber\u00e1n reforzar controles y registros.
