Seg\u00fan el Ministerio de Ambiente y Energ\u00eda, la compensaci\u00f3n cubre los consumos de abril y se reflejar\u00e1 en las facturas de mayo de 2026. Los hogares que consuman hasta 180 kilovatios hora no pagar\u00e1n por ese consumo; quienes superen ese l\u00edmite solo cancelar\u00e1n el excedente. De acuerdo con la tarifa de la Corporaci\u00f3n Nacional de Electricidad, 180 kWh equivalen a unos 20 d\u00f3lares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ZONAS AFECTADAS Y CONTEXTO<\/strong><br>El Instituto Nacional de Meteorolog\u00eda e Hidrolog\u00eda (Inamhi) advierte que abril de 2026 ser\u00e1 de calor intenso, especialmente en la regi\u00f3n Litoral, con temperaturas de hasta 35 \u00b0C y sensaci\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica de 40 \u00b0C. Las provincias m\u00e1s afectadas son Guayas, Santa Elena, El Oro, Esmeraldas, Manab\u00ed y Los R\u00edos, aunque el calor tambi\u00e9n se siente en la Amazon\u00eda. La causa principal es el calentamiento del mar frente a la costa, con hasta 2 \u00b0C por encima de lo habitual.
