La noche del jueves 12 de marzo, Flavio Alfaro sufri\u00f3 nuevas inundaciones tras cuatro horas de intensa lluvia, entre las 16:30 y 20:30, que provocaron el desbordamiento del r\u00edo Pescadillo, el principal afluente del cant\u00f3n. El agua ingres\u00f3 r\u00e1pidamente a la zona c\u00e9ntrica. Calles cercanas al parque central y al sector comercial se convirtieron en r\u00edos, mientras comerciantes y moradores intentaban proteger sus pertenencias en medio de la tensi\u00f3n. Ante la emergencia, la Alcald\u00eda emiti\u00f3 una alerta urgente informando que el r\u00edo hab\u00eda ingresado a zonas bajas. Recomend\u00f3 a familias en sectores vulnerables evacuar de forma preventiva y resguardar sus enseres. Equipos de emergencia del GAD municipal ya est\u00e1n desplegados brindando asistencia en las \u00e1reas de mayor riesgo. Las autoridades pidieron calma y seguir la informaci\u00f3n oficial, mientras contin\u00faan monitoreando el nivel del r\u00edo y las precipitaciones.
