Obtuvo 650 votos, imponi\u00e9ndose a Jimmy Tene (280 apoyos) en el congreso de la organizaci\u00f3n en Conocoto. El resultado marca su regreso a un cargo clave dentro del movimiento ind\u00edgena. En su mensaje, Iza enfatiz\u00f3 la unidad interna y la superaci\u00f3n de estigmatizaciones pol\u00edticas, distanci\u00e1ndose a la vez de la Revoluci\u00f3n Ciudadana. La elecci\u00f3n se dio tras reacomodos en la dirigencia: Iza no retuvo la presidencia de la Confederaci\u00f3n de Nacionalidades Ind\u00edgenas del Ecuador (Conaie) en 2025, frente a Marlon Vargas, y su figura enfrent\u00f3 presiones por el respaldo de Pachakutik a Luisa Gonz\u00e1lez en segunda vuelta. Program\u00e1ticamente, Iza adelant\u00f3 que priorizar\u00e1 la defensa del agua, los territorios y la agenda contra el avance extractivo.
