Su nombre est\u00e1 ligado a casos emblem\u00e1ticos: integr\u00f3 el tribunal del caso Met\u00e1stasis (2024), que conden\u00f3 a 20 personas por delincuencia organizada, incluyendo a exautoridades. Tambi\u00e9n particip\u00f3 en la sentencia de 13 a\u00f1os de prisi\u00f3n para el exvicepresidente Jorge Glas por malversaci\u00f3n de fondos para la reconstrucci\u00f3n del terremoto de 2016, y en el caso Sobornos, que conden\u00f3 a expresidente Rafael Correa y otros por cohecho.<br><br>Adem\u00e1s, en 2018 vot\u00f3 a favor de condenar al excontralor Carlos P\u00f3lit por concusi\u00f3n y ratific\u00f3 la sentencia contra Glas en el caso Odebrecht.
