As\u00ed lo inform\u00f3 la ministra de Ambiente y Energ\u00eda, In\u00e9s Manzano, este martes 16 de diciembre de 2025. \u00abEl Viceministerio de Minas est\u00e1 en reestructuraci\u00f3n de su personal\u00bb, escribi\u00f3 Manzano escuetamente en sus redes sociales. As\u00ed anunci\u00f3 la salida de Sub\u00eda de su cargo luego de que afirmara que el Gobierno no descartaba ir hacia la explotaci\u00f3n minera en Quimsacocha, con el proyecto Loma Larga. Esas declaraciones se dieron en contradicci\u00f3n del propio presidente Daniel Noboa, quien afirm\u00f3 que no se continuar\u00eda con dicha concesi\u00f3n. Manzano insisti\u00f3 en que \u00abel Gobierno no va hacia la explotaci\u00f3n de la concesi\u00f3n Loma Larga\u00bb y a\u00f1adi\u00f3 que \u00abya nos pronunciamos sobre esto en su momento\u00bb. La renuncia de Sub\u00eda se da luego de que el Cabildo Popular por el Agua de Cuenca emitiera una alerta p\u00fablica por las declaraciones sobre la supuesta continuidad del proyecto minero en Azuay.
