Los atacantes llegaron al sector y abrieron fuego. Bravo intent\u00f3 refugiarse en una casa, pero los agresores lo siguieron y dispararon varias veces. Familiares lo trasladaron de urgencia al Hospital de Especialidades Portoviejo (HEP). Los m\u00e9dicos lucharon por salvarlo, pero falleci\u00f3 minutos despu\u00e9s. Escenas de dolor se vivieron en los exteriores del HEP cuando confirmaron la muerte. Agentes de Criminal\u00edstica y Dinased acudieron al lugar del crimen y luego al hospital. El cuerpo ingres\u00f3 al Centro Forense de Portoviejo para la autopsia. Apenas dos horas despu\u00e9s, cerca de las 00h05 del martes 25, otro hombre de aproximadamente 30 a\u00f1os apareci\u00f3 baleado en la ciudadela Rafael Correa. Presentaba m\u00faltiples impactos y falleci\u00f3 en el sitio. DOS ASESINATOS EN UNA NOCHE. Los sicarios huyeron en ambos casos. Testigos relataron haber o\u00eddo r\u00e1fagas cortas y veh\u00edculos acelerando. La Polic\u00eda acordon\u00f3 ambas escenas y recolect\u00f3 casquillos. Dinased analiza si existe conexi\u00f3n entre los hechos. Un oficial declar\u00f3: \u201cTrabajamos todas las l\u00edneas; no descartamos relaci\u00f3n\u201d. Hasta el momento, el segundo cuerpo permanece sin identificar en el centro forense. CONTEXTO DE VIOLENCIA EN PORTOVIEJO. Portoviejo registra 305 homicidios en 2025 tras estos dos casos, seg\u00fan Polic\u00eda Nacional. En 2024, la capital manabita cerr\u00f3 con 268 asesinatos, un 18 % m\u00e1s que 2023, seg\u00fan Primicias. En octubre de 2025, tres cr\u00edmenes ocurrieron en menos de 12 horas en sectores populares.
