El Gobierno de Pakist\u00e1n ha confirmado que el suceso ha sido un ataque suicida. El atentado tiene lugar un d\u00eda despu\u00e9s de que un veh\u00edculo explotase en Nueva Delhi, la capital de la vecina India, provocando la muerte de ocho personas. Las autoridades indias siguen investigando el incidente. La explosi\u00f3n en Islamabad tuvo lugar frente a los juzgados del distrito, en el sector G-11 de la capital, en hora punta. Seg\u00fan el ministro del Interior paquistan\u00ed, Mohsin Naqvi, el atacante intent\u00f3 entrar, sin \u00e9xito, en el recinto del tribunal. Al darse cuenta de que no pod\u00eda ingresar, se inmol\u00f3 junto a una furgoneta policial. \u201cTodas las simpat\u00edas de la naci\u00f3n entera, incluidas las m\u00edas, est\u00e1n con las familias de los m\u00e1rtires.
