En un comunicado, la entidad oficial indic\u00f3, tras realizar un an\u00e1lisis de im\u00e1genes satelitales, que en total han sido afectadas 8.801 hect\u00e1reas de pastizales y sabanas, 7.245 hect\u00e1reas de palmares y 71 hect\u00e1reas de bosque nativo. El incendio se origin\u00f3 el 15 de octubre en territorio boliviano, \u201ca menos de 100 metros de la frontera\u201d, y al d\u00eda siguiente se extendi\u00f3 al lado paraguayo, detall\u00f3 el Infona. La instituci\u00f3n indic\u00f3 que las llamas tambi\u00e9n consumieron unas 10.886 hect\u00e1reas en la \u2018Reserva para Parque Nacional R\u00edo Negro\u2019.
