Manab\u00ed resolvi\u00f3 que los ocho ind\u00edgenas kichwas de Otavalo, recluidos en la c\u00e1rcel El Rodeo de Portoviejo, sean trasladados de inmediato a la prisi\u00f3n de Imbabura, su provincia de origen, para cumplir la prisi\u00f3n preventiva que enfrentan por un proceso judicial por terrorismo.<br><br>La decisi\u00f3n se tom\u00f3 tras conceder parcialmente un habeas corpus solicitado por un dirigente de su comunidad, quien argument\u00f3 que el traslado a Manab\u00ed vulner\u00f3 los derechos colectivos y culturales de los detenidos.<br><br>En su fallo, los jueces cuestionaron los informes del Servicio Nacional de Atenci\u00f3n Integral a Personas Privadas de Libertad (SNAI), se\u00f1alando que no exist\u00edan razones suficientes para mantener a los procesados lejos de su entorno social, familiar y del juez natural de su causa, ubicado en Ibarra.<br><br>El Tribunal concluy\u00f3 que el Gobierno viol\u00f3 los derechos colectivos de los detenidos al alejarlos de su territorio y comunidad, y dispuso su retorno inmediato.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"819\" height=\"1024\"
