El bombillo consigui\u00f3 la reducci\u00f3n de la sanci\u00f3n que le dio al estadio George Capwell por los incidentes del Cl\u00e1sico del Astillero.<br><br>La sanci\u00f3n inicial para Emelec fue de cuatro partidos sin p\u00fablico y dos juegos con la clausura de la general avenida Quito, pero fue reducida. Seg\u00fan la informaci\u00f3n de la periodista Mar\u00eda Jos\u00e9 Gavilanez, el Tribunal resolvi\u00f3 bajar a dos partidos sin p\u00fablico en el hexagonal, pero mantener los dos encuentros de sanci\u00f3n a la general de la Avenida Quito.<br><br>Por esa raz\u00f3n, Emelec deber\u00e1 disputar dos partidos m\u00e1s a puerta cerrada, adem\u00e1s de las restricciones en el sector de las generales Quito, pero s\u00ed tendr\u00e1 a sus hinchas en la parte final del hexagonal final.
