La movilizaci\u00f3n se da horas despu\u00e9s de que la ministra de Gobierno, Zaida Rovira, actualizara el balance de la jornada: 12 militares heridos y 17 desaparecidos tras los hechos registrados en Cotacachi, donde \u2014seg\u00fan el Gobierno\u2014 una emboscada contra personal que habilitaba v\u00edas y custodiaba abastecimiento deriv\u00f3 en el nuevo conteo de afectados. \u201cEl derecho a manifestarse es leg\u00edtimo\u2026 Lo de Cotacachi no fue protesta: fue una emboscada cobarde ejecutada por estructuras\u201d, se\u00f1al\u00f3.
