Estuvo\u00a0cinco meses\u00a0peleando por su vida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Recientemente la estadounidense comparti\u00f3 en su perfil de Instagram el\u00a0sufrimiento\u00a0que vivi\u00f3 en aquel entonces. La bacteria carn\u00edvora tuvo un\u00a0efecto\u00a0inmediato<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ecuavisa.com\/amp\/mundo\/joven-que-sobrevivio-bacteria-carnivora-luce-su-nueva-DBEC165071\">\u00a0<\/a>en su pierna, por ello la rodilla de Barlow se\u00a0hinch\u00f3\u00a0y \u00abse encontraba muy caliente\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Algunos d\u00edas despu\u00e9s su hermano menor la encontr\u00f3\u00a0desmayada\u00a0en el suelo de la cocina, por lo que fue llevada al\u00a0hospital\u00a0de inmediato. Los m\u00e9dicos estudiaron la causa del problema y decidieron\u00a0amputarle la pierna\u00a0para\u00a0salvarle la vida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Seg\u00fan expertos m\u00e9dicos, citados por\u00a0<em>Atlanta News First<\/em>, la\u00a0probabilidad\u00a0de que suceda la infecci\u00f3n es\u00a0una de un mill\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La tambi\u00e9n actriz inici\u00f3 una campa\u00f1a de\u00a0recaudaci\u00f3n de dinero\u00a0para poder costear una pr\u00f3tesis.
