Su hijo Fernando Vargas, public\u00f3 la noticia en redes sociales la ma\u00f1ana del domingo 29 de junio de 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00abCon profundo dolor, compartimos que nuestro querido Padre, Carlos Antonio Vargas Guatatoca (1958\u20132025) ha partido hacia la eternidad. Se fue en paz, rodeado del amor de sus hijos y de toda su familia. Luchaste hasta el \u00faltimo momento de t\u00fa partida\u00bb, expres\u00f3 Fernando Vargas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El hist\u00f3rico dirigente ind\u00edgena ha sido protagonista de luchas por la dignidad de los pueblos en Ecuador.
