El 13 de agosto de 2023 el movimiento Construye inform\u00f3 que Zurita ser\u00e1 quien asuma la candidatura presidencial de Fernando Villavicencio, quien fue asesinado a tiros el 9 de agosto de 2023 mientras se retiraba de un mitin pol\u00edtico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seg\u00fan el portal del Servicio de Rentas Internas (SRI), Zurita registra $ 0 de pago de impuesto en 2015, 2021 y 2022. Mientras que, en 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 y 2020 no ha presentado la declaraci\u00f3n de impuesto a la renta. Por otro lado, registra una multa de tr\u00e1nsito por desobedecer \u00f3rdenes de agente de tr\u00e1nsito en el Municipio de Santo Domingo, misma que asciende a los $127,50.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En el \u00e1mbito judicial, Zurita registra dos procesos. En 2022 fue demandado por el exministro del Interior del corre\u00edsmo, Jos\u00e9 Serrano, por calumnia; sin embargo, esta prescribi\u00f3 en marzo de 2023.
