Hasta el 2 de junio, el Ministerio de Salud de Jap\u00f3n registr\u00f3 977 casos de s\u00edndrome de shock t\u00f3xico estreptoc\u00f3cico (STSS), una infecci\u00f3n que tiene una tasa de mortalidad de hasta el 30%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El actual brote en Jap\u00f3n ha superado el r\u00e9cord del a\u00f1o pasado de 941 infecciones, el m\u00e1s alto desde que comenzaron a registrarse las estad\u00edsticas en 1999. El Instituto Nacional de Enfermedades Infecciosas de Jap\u00f3n inform\u00f3 de 97 muertes por STSS en 2023, el segundo mayor n\u00famero en los \u00faltimos seis a\u00f1os.
