El proceso de eliminaci\u00f3n de esa entidad deber\u00e1 cumplirse en 90 d\u00edas. Con esta medida, los ministros de Defensa e Interior asumir\u00e1n las competencias, atribuciones, funciones y proyectos de esa instituci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Asesorar\u00e1n t\u00e9cnicamente al Primer Mandatario para el cumplimiento y ejecuci\u00f3n de la Ley de Seguridad P\u00fablica y del Estado. Defensa se encargar\u00e1 de la formulaci\u00f3n del Plan Nacional de Seguridad Integral, entre otras atribuciones. Asimismo, la Direcci\u00f3n Nacional de Movilizaci\u00f3n formar\u00e1 parte de ese Ministerio.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La Secretar\u00eda de Seguridad comenz\u00f3 a funcionar desde inicios de agosto de 2022 y fue creada por el expresidente Guillermo Lasso Mendoza. Design\u00f3 a Diego Ord\u00f3\u00f1ez como secretario nacional de Seguridad P\u00fablica y del Estado. Antes de ocupar ese cargo, Ord\u00f3\u00f1ez fue consejero presidencial del Primer Mandatario.
